Quick Disney Post

While Lauryn is getting ready this morning lets see how fast I can get this done! Here are some pic's from Disneyworld. We've been to the Magic Kingdom so far and she loves the cars and liked the majic carpet ride (like Dumbo). We all went on the Tea Cups and Pirates of the Caribean. When we get ready today it is off to the Animal Kingdom this am and then to Epcot for David's birthday tonight. These are the pictures so far, in no particular order. Hope you like these. We've got a TON more!

Holiday Letter

So, we've sent out our Christmas Cards (yes they might be a little late) and I decided to post our standard Holiday Letter here. So here goes.................

2009 was a great year. Our family grew, with the addition of Winnie. On 12/24 she will be 10 months old, and she is already 3 feet tall on all four feet, easily! She probably weighs about 110 right now, and is still such a puppy. Winnie, our amazing Great Dane puppy, doesn't like the cold though. And with our recent visit to the Mid West I am reminded just how NOT cold it is here. Today it got up to 70! Yeah for Texas!

Ok I think I got a little off topic there. Lets see.............what else is new. Lauryn came to visit for the summer, and stayed 1/2 of the summer with us. She had a great time and went camping with Kim's family (her Mom -- not me!). We also took her to Schliterbahn (sp?) for the first time. We all loved it, and I am pretty sure we will be scheduling a visit again next summer. I can't wait! We also took her to Dallas to visit the American Girl store. She also got to pick out her new doll. Kendall was her birthday present and we got to have lunch with her at the store. Kendall also got her ears pierced while we were in Dallas. The hotel we stayed at even had Swan's swimming in the lobby. I know she loved that!

I've been traveling a little for work this year, Lubbock, Beaumont, and Birmingham. All fun places! No really, it is fun to travel for work.....but it is WAY better to be home. Espcially when we have a full house.

David has been very busy this year, they converted the system at work so he was a big piece of that puzzle. Of course I am never really 100% sure I understand what all he does, but I do know he was and still is very busy. He has been great with Winnie, although she is his first dog to live inside so all of this is new to him.

For those of you who know I've had a countdown all year to the holidays with Lauryn you'll be happy to hear we are in our finally days. We are into single digits now and I can't wait! We will get to walk on the beach with Grandmama in FL real soon, and I know Lauryn is excited.

I guess at some point I should mention that eventhough we have this blog I do still like the idea of "old fashioned" mail, or snail mail as some call it. I think there is just something about going to your mailbox and getting a letter, or card, or a note saying someone is thinking of you. What a way to make someone's day. This just seems like an easier medium to reach all of you at one time. So please keep up with us here. My new years resolution (and hopeful promise to each of you) is to keep our blog up to date.

So keep checking back to see updates, pictures and video. I hope to have some up from our trip NO LATER than the middle of January.

I hope all is well with each of you out there, and we miss you terribly. Take a few minutes to stroll down memory lane with some old posts or pictures here.

Have a wonderful holiday season. I am sending each of you all the blessings my heart can hold for you and your loved ones.

Love,

Kim, David, Lauryn and Winnie
