Cruise

Many of you have asked how the cruise was. (In case you didn't know, David and I went on a cruise a few weeks ago.) We went to Mexico on a 5 day cruise. It was a lot of fun, and the highlight (I think) of the week was Cozumel.


Our first stop was in Progresso, Mexico. It rained this day :( but we still went ashore, went shopping and had some relaxing time. We tried to avoid the rain. The day started out hot but then cooled off a lot once it stopped raining.

We've been to Progresso before so you may remember a few of these pictures from about 5.5 years back. Here is one of the "Huts" on the beach.

We even saw a branch!! I guess I really am a workaholic! I went inside :)

Once we were out of the gulf the weather was clear and sunny. Here is David on the deck.

Next stop: Cozymel! We really like Cozumel, we rented a car and drove around the island. The weather was great, even though it was cold and overcast in Austin it was sunny, warm and beautiful in Mexico.
David also found some great coral on another beach.

We found a secluded beach and hung out in the water. Vacation was sooooo relaxing!

As you can see most of are pictures are of the beautiful beaches, and great sunsets. I hope you all feel caught up.

Halloween at our house

In case you were wondering if Winnie wore a costume this year for Halloween.....Here are some pictures.

We hung out at Amy and Matt's (neighbors) they are part of the Village, and handed out candy. You probably can't see it but Matt has a classic car he is restoring in his garage...........so most people came up and asked about the car and half of the people came up and asked about the DOG!!! She was very popular, and we will probably keep this cape and use it again next year.

Some of the kids thought she was "Super Dog" so maybe we can add a big S on the back for next year????? Thoughts?

Interesting things on the Internet

So.....I am sure you know there are lots of interesting things out there on the internet. If you haven't found my new fav....Pinterst....you GOTTA check it out!! Pinterest is basically an online cork board where you can "Pin" ideas you like. No more trying to save every reciepe, every craft idea, every shopping idea, every fashion outfit, every DIY idea......now you just Pin them!!! Its awesome.

Lauryn went to a professional soccer game in Houston last weekend. Here is a picture.

Her soccer team went to see the Dynamo's play the LA Galaxy. I don't know who won or how the game went, but I am sure they had fun!

Lauryn's Soccer Game

Well, Lauryn had a game today. Her team (GC United) scored a goal about 10 seconds after the game started!

The score is up for debate (we aren't sure of the score). But the end result was that Lauryn's team lost. She played most of the game so stay tuned for some pictures and videos!

Lauryn is number 10

Fall Soccer -- from Lauryn

I had lots of fun at my soccer game yesterday. It was in Fennett. Our team this year is called GC United. I played midfield right and middle, which means I run the WHOLE field. We played a youth 12 team, so the girls were a LOT bigger! They got a goal first, and then they got another goal, and another goal, and another goal! Do you get the point?

Everybody got sunbured except me. Nana, Pa, Kim and Daddy all got sunburned (on the sidelines). And yes this is Fall Soccer!

So far we've had 4 games, and a tournament. This is my first year on a competitive team. We practice 3 days a week.

Baseball game

Lauryn is in Austin!! Yeah! She has spring break this week (I know, its early). David is off most of this week and they went on their first outing today.

David, his parents, and Lauryn went to a UT Baseball game today. As of now, UT is winning and it is in the 6th inning. The best part of the game is David scored tickets in the credit unions Luxury Box. So they are sitting in luxury watching the game.
