Quick Disney Post

While Lauryn is getting ready this morning lets see how fast I can get this done! Here are some pic's from Disneyworld. We've been to the Magic Kingdom so far and she loves the cars and liked the majic carpet ride (like Dumbo). We all went on the Tea Cups and Pirates of the Caribean. When we get ready today it is off to the Animal Kingdom this am and then to Epcot for David's birthday tonight. These are the pictures so far, in no particular order. Hope you like these. We've got a TON more!

Holiday Letter

So, we've sent out our Christmas Cards (yes they might be a little late) and I decided to post our standard Holiday Letter here. So here goes.................

2009 was a great year. Our family grew, with the addition of Winnie. On 12/24 she will be 10 months old, and she is already 3 feet tall on all four feet, easily! She probably weighs about 110 right now, and is still such a puppy. Winnie, our amazing Great Dane puppy, doesn't like the cold though. And with our recent visit to the Mid West I am reminded just how NOT cold it is here. Today it got up to 70! Yeah for Texas!

Ok I think I got a little off topic there. Lets see.............what else is new. Lauryn came to visit for the summer, and stayed 1/2 of the summer with us. She had a great time and went camping with Kim's family (her Mom -- not me!). We also took her to Schliterbahn (sp?) for the first time. We all loved it, and I am pretty sure we will be scheduling a visit again next summer. I can't wait! We also took her to Dallas to visit the American Girl store. She also got to pick out her new doll. Kendall was her birthday present and we got to have lunch with her at the store. Kendall also got her ears pierced while we were in Dallas. The hotel we stayed at even had Swan's swimming in the lobby. I know she loved that!

I've been traveling a little for work this year, Lubbock, Beaumont, and Birmingham. All fun places! No really, it is fun to travel for work.....but it is WAY better to be home. Espcially when we have a full house.

David has been very busy this year, they converted the system at work so he was a big piece of that puzzle. Of course I am never really 100% sure I understand what all he does, but I do know he was and still is very busy. He has been great with Winnie, although she is his first dog to live inside so all of this is new to him.

For those of you who know I've had a countdown all year to the holidays with Lauryn you'll be happy to hear we are in our finally days. We are into single digits now and I can't wait! We will get to walk on the beach with Grandmama in FL real soon, and I know Lauryn is excited.

I guess at some point I should mention that eventhough we have this blog I do still like the idea of "old fashioned" mail, or snail mail as some call it. I think there is just something about going to your mailbox and getting a letter, or card, or a note saying someone is thinking of you. What a way to make someone's day. This just seems like an easier medium to reach all of you at one time. So please keep up with us here. My new years resolution (and hopeful promise to each of you) is to keep our blog up to date.

So keep checking back to see updates, pictures and video. I hope to have some up from our trip NO LATER than the middle of January.

I hope all is well with each of you out there, and we miss you terribly. Take a few minutes to stroll down memory lane with some old posts or pictures here.

Have a wonderful holiday season. I am sending each of you all the blessings my heart can hold for you and your loved ones.

Love,

Kim, David, Lauryn and Winnie

Chicken Cheesy Cassarole

So tonight for dinner I made a chicken casarole from the back of the stove top box. Chicken, brocoli (sp?), Cream of Chicken Soup, Milk, and Cheese.......it was actually good. And Lauryn ATE it up. The only thing is it took longer than the box said it would. For all you Mom's out there.......................try it. It really was good, David even got seconds!

Our Family

We had some new pictures taken last night and wanted to share them with you all. There will be more to come........K

Back Bend

Lauryn has been perfecting her backbend. Here is a video of her yesterday at Matt and Jess's house showing us her back bend. We told her to show Maddie how to do it, but Maddie was just intersted in doing yoga! Wish I had gotten a video of that!

Bike Riding Video

Lauryn got here safe and sound yesterday. Today we visited Matt and Jess and the girls. Here is a short video of Lauryn riding her bike here. She is doing so good.

Stay tuned for more to come!

Insomina?

Yes...............that time on the post is right. It is 12:46 AM today, this morning, right now, whatever! David and I "went to sleep" at 10:30, except I can't sleep!! David is sleeping, and snoaring, but I can't. Imagine that.

So instead I got up at 11:00 and.....wait for it.....wait for it......

CLEANED!!! until just now.

So now most of the central part of the house is dusted, including the leather furniture. I had to do cleaning that would be quiet so the kitchen, living room, etc.......seems to be done.

Of course I probably also should have cleaned Lauryn's bathroom before I lost my steam. Now I've turned the TV and DVR back on, sooooooo Private Practice is on and I guess I catch up on that instead.

Of course David and I have time to do real cleaning tomorrow, which means the floors, steam clean the carpets (thanks Jason) and clean the tile.

Man! It had been a long time since we dusted......did I mention I started with the ceiling fan in the living room?

Oh well at least its done, just wish I was tired enough to sleep now. Guess I'll waste some time on facebook now.

Goodnight to anyone out there, at this hour.

PS sorry to Jess and anyone else this "jinxed"

Winnie's new Friend

Winnie met Jaengeaux (spelling? not sure!) last weekend when we were at David's Parents house. He is a Frenchton (mix between a French Bulldog and a Boston Terrier). He is AWESOME!!!! They are almost the same age, and they had a great time playing in the front yard.

Winnie was really good, and careful with the smaller dog. Here is a comparrison for you, Winnie weighs about 103 pounds in these pictures, and Jeangeaux is about 13 pounds!

Gymnastics in the Yard

Lauryn can do a back bend by herself! Stay tuned, I'll try to post a video over thanksgiving. For now take a look at these pictures....................she is in David's parents front yard, while Winnie is playing with another dog.

More soccer pix

As promised here is the link to some more pictures from fall soccer. Another soccer game and Lauryn kicked two goals!!!!

Check out these pictures. She played really well, and still enjoys her games so much.

I tried to get more pictures of her face this time, hope you like them!

Lauryn Rides a Bike

So......we are "back home" this weekend with Lauryn, and David's Parents. She, of course, had a soccer game this morning, so look for those pictures soon (this week is my goal). BUT here are some pictures we took today. She rode her bike all by herself!!! David didn't have to run behind her or anything. She had such a great time, you can really see it on her face.

Also there are a few pictures of her and Winnie in here. I am really trying to update the look of the blog so watch for more changes to come hopefully ASAP (but of course dependent on my time, skills, and David's patience -- most of all).

Anyway these pictures wrap up with the hysterical thing I've seen in a long time. Lauryn and Winnie trying to wear Antlears (like Christmas and yes I know it is still about 1.5 months away). Of course the dog didn't play along and this was the most hysterical part to Lauryn. She laughed so hard she fell down!!

As always hope you like them :)

Lauryn's Birthday

Sorry these are so late, or long being posted. Here are a few pictures from Lauryn's birthday at David's Aunt Kellie and Uncle Randy's house. More to follow, including pictures of their horses.

Lauryn had a horse cake and got to feed the horses (even though it was still raining). She got lots of really cool presents, all of which were for her new American Girl Doll, Kendall. You can see pictures of Kendall from our trip to American Girl in Dallas earlier this summer on the blog as well.

Lauryn Cheer Leading Camp

Here is another video from Cheer Leading camp. This one shows her doing a cheer. She is basically in the middle of the screen. They do the cheer a few times, so don't worry if you miss it the first time, you'll catch it.

Here is a great tip from Frankie (David's Mom) if you look for Lauryn she is wearing black capri pants. Hope that helps you find her.

Hope you love it as much as I do!

Cheer Leading Camp

A few weeks ago, oh right 10/10 (same day as my Strutter reunion) Lauryn went to Cheer Leading Camp. David took her and I think she had fun, but unfortunately I had to miss it:(

Thanks to our great friends Matt and Jess who let us borrow their video camera.

Here is the longest video David took. You'll notice her close to the end. The whole video is about 5 minutes long, and she will be on the left in the line. They are performing the jumps they learned.

Hope you like this one :)

Long time no post!

Ok Ok, I know it has been a while since I have posted anything. WELL!!! Oh boy is that about to change. I am offically taking a break from my facebook farm tonight, and hopefully tomorrow night to update ya'll.

There are (hopefully) about to be several posts. David just took all the pictures from Lauryn's games and Winnie's graduation, plus we have a video of Lauryn at her cheer leading day, so hold on (to your girdles girls as my Mom would say) and keep checking back for more info.

1st Soccer Game!

Lauryn had her first game today, in the RAIN!! Yes, it really does need all caps, it rained for the full game and also for practice.

But, of course, rain didn't stop the girls. They had a great time and played good. As a matter of fact it made me tired just watching!!

The AWESOME news from the game is they won! The score was 7 to 4, and Lauryn scored 3 goals!!! Did I mention their team is the Ladybugs?

She did such a great job, one goal was even off a pass from another player, one was from a throw in, and another was from the other goal at the opposite end of the field.

I would say it was a great first game of the season. Sorry no pics though, the rain won out on that one. I'll try for next time.

Keep in touch, we'll let you know how the rest of the season goes.

Soccer Season

Lauryn has offically started soccer season for the fall. David talked to her tonight and her team is the Ladybugs!!! again!! She is sooooo excited, she loves ladybugs! and her team color is even red.

They had their first practice and I think she had a great time. She said said she knew one of her team mates. Her first game is in a few weeks so stay tuned for some game pictures here!

Lauryn's new room

Some of you know we decorated Lauryn's room this summer. She got to pick a lot of the items and even painted some herself while she was here. My mom finished her curtains with Lauryn's details this summer. She also has several "custsom" items like her pillows.

Take a look at the pictures.

We hope you love it as much as she does.

Marley and Me

Have you seen the movie "Marley and Me"? that is this week's poll question. That is the question because...... well we did.

David rented it for us this weekend. And if you've seen it you know I cried. A LOT!!

Marley died because her stomach fliped over inside her, it is called bloat. Big dogs get it, and we didn't want Winnie to get it and die from it so we had her stomach "tacked" to her rib cage.

At the end of the movie when they had to have Marley put to sleep it reminded me so much of Bailey. It was really hard to watch, but it made me appreciate Winnie and her surgery a lot more. I feel like we are more prepared this time.

Thanks to everyone who suggested the surgery ahead of time for prevention. Thanks especially to Steve (my brother in law) who explained it and really helped make the decision easy.

If you haven't seen the movie, it is good, and very well done. It is just hard to watch, espeically if you have a dog.

Day 4

So.......................we did it!!! We (Winnie and I) walked / jogged Tuesday night. That wasy day 4. I think it is suppose to get easier but not yet. I know if we can make it to 21 days the habit will be in place but, I just don't know if I can get there!!!

We tried jogging at night, and it was ok, not to hot, but still hotter than the morning. Although in the morning it is so dark that is no fun either. We didn't go far, Missy (our next door neighbor) and her dog Lilly went with us. So Winnie and Lilly got to run together.

Neither of us walked or jogged last night, it finally rained!!! Yeah! Although I thought it would be a great night to do it since it cooled off so much, but it was just to humid. Oh well!

Day 5 of this endevor was Thursday morning (today). Thankfully David got up early and took care of Winnie so it was just me, and I did it! I did the walk / jog on my own!

So I've made it to day 5! Anyway, stay tuned to see if we can make the habit stick :)

Winnie Update

Winnie is 6 months old today! We can hardly believe it. The time has gone so fast, and yes I can hear all of you out there who aren't "dog people" thinking I am crazy, but time really has flown.

She moved in with us about 2 or 3 months ago when she was probably 20 or 30 pounds. Now at 6 months she is almost full grown and weighs about 80 pounds. David measured her a week ago and he said she will probably still grow about 7 inches at her sholder.

She has changed our lives so much, or at least mine. One thing she and I do together everyday is see the sun rise! Can you believe it? We take our morning walk before I go to work, and lately we have gotten to see the sunrise. A few days ago it was beautiful pink and yellow, and believe it or not I wasn't even upset to be awake so early!! Of course her naps are nice also! She still takes several on the weekends.

Another great thing about Winnie is she is helping me jog. This weekend we started walking / jogging together. We are on day 3 today. Each day it gets a little easier, but of course at first my legs feel like lead. I don't think she ever feels that way. She takes off so fast, and runs full speed ahead!!

Keep checking back, we'll post some new pictures soon, maybe even some play date pictures with Lilly.

Everyone think wonderful thoughts about our amazing, and huge, puppy and wish her a happy half birthday!

Sprinkler Park

One of the last day's when Karen and the girls were here we went to the "Sprinkler Park" for lack of a better term. It is a park full of things that throw water everywhere. Can you believe this place is here and free???

The girls LOVED it!! Lauryn had been there before, so she showed them around. And OF COURSE Papa Mick got involved! So he is in a few of the pictures.

These were taken on the speed setting, so there may be a few that look the same, but the camera takes 8 pictures per second! so there are lots!

Dancing Girls

Another video of Reilly and Taylor

Dress Up

The last day before the girls (Reilly and Taylor) left they played dress up and danced around. Karen and Mom got them these Dance outfits and they played in my shoes. They tried to make as much noise as possible! Please ignore me talking in the background.

Winnie and Lauryn

As requested here are some pictures from tonight so you can all compare how big Winnie is to Lauryn. Here are the girls stats:

Lauryn is 7 (almost 8 years old) and weighs about 65 pounds
Winnie is 5 months old and weighs about 70 pounds -- and she is only about 1/2 as big as she will be full grown.

Pink-a-licous

We had an all Pink Party last week! It was inspired by the book Pinkalicous. In the book the girl loves pink so she eats everything Pink and then turns Pink. All the girls came wearing Pink and we read the book, had Pink cupcakes, and Pink covered Rice Krispie treats. Here are a few pictures.

JUMP!!!

Lauryn has a few friends down the street with a Trampoline. So thanks to Jordan and Jenna we have had some great nights of wearing all of us out. Jordan is the oldest and they all get on the trampoline together, and show each other their "tricks".

Lauryn has really enjoyed all her fun this summer.

There are a lot of pictures so you may want to look at this one as a slide show.

Swim Lessons

Sorry it took so long for this one.

Lauryn finished her swim lessons. She did a great job! and even got promoted to the next level next year :) she is sooooo good in the water. Some of these you may have a difficult time seeing her in (cause she is in the water) but I promise she is there. Part of class is three time across the pool freestyle and three times breast stroke.

Here are a few more pictures.

Lauryn's Mom's family took some family pictures and her Aunt Mamie sent these to me. Hope you like them.

Schliterbahn

If you haven't heard we went to Schliterbahn in New Braunfels this weekend. We had a great time. We started in the older version of the park and then we to the new side.

Lauryn loved the rides, and had a blast on all the slides! I think her favorite ride might have been in the new park it is called the wave river. (Ok I am not really sure of the real name, but I think it might be the Torrent).

This was a new one for me, but basically it was a huge man made river that goes in a circle. Part of the "river" has a huge wave / current machine that releases water which creates rapids and then waves. It was AWESOME!!! We all loved it.

I was really impressed with how "family friendly" they were, they allow picnics and coolers, and have "splash cash". Splash Cash is a water proof band you wear around your wrist and it works like cash, we could even trade in the unused splash cash for money when we left.

On the way home we stoped in Gurene to eat dinner at the Grist Mill. We were all exhausted and after dinner on the way home Lauryn passed out in the truck!

I think she loved the park, but you'll have to ask her.

Sorry folks, but no pictures, as it is a water park!

Sprinklers

Lauryn, Frankie and I were eating ice cream in the back yard one day and she got chocolate all over her face!!!! At the same time David just happened to be watering the back yard, sooooooo Lauryn asked if she could run in the sprinklers. Take a look at some pictures.

For those of you who either want more info or can't see the video's here are the still photo's from the last day of horse camp.

http://picasaweb.google.com/kim.gossett/HorseCampLastDay#

Lauryn had a great time. We also got to go to a Baseball game this weekend. The Round Rock Express (minor league team for the Texas Rangers) won agains the Iowa Cubs!!! Yes -- all of my relatives in Ill, we beat the Cubs!!! HA!

She also got to go swimming and play with Winnie some more and see Lily. Winnie is now as big as Lily! Can you believe it?

Hugh measured her back legs and said they were 26 inches! She is getting big so fast.

Lauryn spent the day with her cousin Maddie today. You might want to check Jessica's blog, I am not sure if there are any pictures. Her blog is: allabouttheblanchards.blogspot.com

Bare Back Horse Riding

Today (Friday) is Lauryn's last day of Horse Camp. :( I got to take her and watch for a bit this morning. She rode Bare Back today, although she will have to tell you which horse she rode.

This week she learned how to ride English, Western, and Bare Back unassisted!!! She can do all this on her own now, so watch out! Here are two videos of her riding.

Hope you like these :)

Chairs like new

We (Missy the next door neighbor) and I went shopping this weekend, and FINALLY got fabric to recover the dinning room chairs. Take a look and let me know what you think of our handy work. Should we add slip covers to the tops now?

Little Lady Winston

Little Lady Winston is growing up so fast! This weekend she will be 4 months old, I can hardly believe it! She is already 50 pounds, I know I know only 49 at the vet on Sunday but I am sure she has gained at least a pound in 2 days, if not we might have a problem!

Here are her most recent picutres.

http://picasaweb.google.com/kim.gossett/WinnieAlmost4Months#slideshow/5347931368065150626

She sill loves to have her picture taken and poses for me, but these are in the yard when she was trying to run around like a wild animal!

Winnie Update

David took Winnie to the Vet today for her next set of shots and a check up. She is doing well and keeping up on her weight. She is up to 49 pounds now! And to think yesteday David told me she wasn't 50 pounds yet! Guess I was close enough. So I guess the next shirt we buy for her will have to be a lot bigger :)

Thoughts.....

So......during some "quiet" time with Winnie last night, while she was playing with a stick in the yard and I was sitting in the sun, I got to read for a bit. I quickly grabbed an old copy of Walden by Thoreau and started rereading the first few pages.

What struck me as interesting in this very old book (maybe 200 years?) was his perspective that all writers should write about their lives since that is what they know. He even goes so far as to tell his readers that eventhough most books are not written in first person most literature is written in first person point of view.

This made me think about how far we have truly come since Thoreau's days at Walden Pond. It seems like everyone has a blog today, and we all write at great length about what happened to us during the day, or the week. Of course, these are mostly written in first person.

I think Thoreau would be very proud of us and happy, BUT I still don't think he would fit in to today's society or culture. We live in a world where TV, Movies, the Internet, You Tube, and blogs have taken over. Compared with his world where people had to build their own homes, build or kill their own food, and make their own clothes.

But I digress, and this has become more of a diatribe than it was intended. For those of you who follow our blog, I certainly appreciate it. I love all the votes on the polls, and this seems like an amazing way of keeping in touch.

Hopefully you like our blog as much as I do, but if you have feedback please feel free to email me. I know you all have my email address.

In the meantime I look forward to keeping up with each of you via email and here.

New Lauryn Pics

Here is Lauryn's most recent school picture. It doesn't look like school picture, it was her spring photo. We hope you love this one.

Winnie wearing clothes

So in case you have not heard apparently Great Danes get cold in the winter so they need to wear clothes!!! I got Winnie her first shirt today :)

We wanted her to start wearing clothes now so she can get used to them. This is her new 4th of July shirt. She is still wearing it, and it has made it about an hour now, so I guess we are good to go.

I am not sure if you can see it, but this one is a Pink shirt from Old Navy with a US flag on it. This one is a childs XL already!

We are thinking of getting her a Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt for the fall!

Play Date with Baxter

Baxter and Jason came over on Friday night. I guess Winnie has gotten to big for Baxter, he just tried to hide under things or with the humans. At one point he even got under her and just stayed there, guess he figured out she couldn't get to him way down there! Here are a few pictures.

Lauryn's Graduation Program

Last week Lauryn had a program at school and Frankie took some pictures. Take a look at how amazing Lauryn is. Lauryn told us over Memorial Day weekend she wants to be a Pediatrican (I am not sure of the spelling!) She is dressed up like a doctor in the pictures.

BARK!!

Ok we finally got some sounds out of Winnie and got a video. If you want to hear her whine, moan, yawn, and bark here it is! This is of course for those of you who haven't gotten to see it first hand just yet :)

Winnie Update

Winnie has developed a new way to run. She gallops now! Which is really funny to watch. She kind of picks up her front legs and then puts her back legs where her front legs were. It is a cross between running and jumping. You can see her play with David and run a little here.

Winnie and Baxter

Jason and Baxter came over for dinner last night. Eventhough Winnie and Baxter didn't play that much you can see them together here. Winnie was trying to get Baxter to play but he just sat on Jason on hid from her as much as possible. They did play a little in the yard.

Weekend update

Saturday was a good day, a LONG day, but a good one. David worked and I went to Dallas for the day for Holli's Baby Shower. Winnie went to play with Baxter and then back to David after he got off work. So not a very eventful day, but a full day!

Sunday we went to the vet again, for more shots and a check up. Winnie's weight is up to 31.6 pounds!!! yeah!!! That is a full 6 pounds up from last week, and the vet even said she looked healthy. You can feel her ribs now but they aren't as easily noticed. Guess the new food or standing there while she eats is helping. Not sure which is better, but she is growing like a weed so something must be working!

Sunday night we hung out with the neighbors and the dogs played in the back yard. They were both worn out, it was great.

Here is a link to some pictures from this weekend.

Don't forget to check back this weekend, Lauryn will be here so we should have a TON of new pictures.

Winnie in the water

Watch Winnie play in the sprinklers in our back yard. It is really sunny so it might be hard to see but she jumps and follows the sprinklers and it made me laugh so hard I just had to share!

Play date for Winnie and Lily

Tonight started off uneventful, I had to cut the grass in the front yard, cuz David was still at work. After the front yard was done, Winnie had a play date next door and the neighbors fed me dinner! Thanks guys :) Here are some new pics of the puppies playing together. Check out the slideshow.

Winnie updatehttp://picasaweb.google.com/kim.gossett/Winnie2#slideshow/5334004677573165650

Today Winnie went to the Vet. As it turns out she is not eating enough, and has only gained 2.5 pounds in two weeks!!!! So we are in the process of switching her food so hopefully she will be more interested and will gain 5 pounds in the next week. Here are some more recent pictures of our little girl Winnie. If you want a point of reference her head comes up to my knees now!

Check out the pics on picasa

Winnie and Lily, the Golden Lab from next door, played together today. Here is a video of the action. They were both worn out after all the fun, all I can say is AWESOME!!

JUMP!

Winnie was jumping tonight while playing with David, do you think she has springs for feet? I do sometimes :)

To cute to pass up!

Ok so here is another video and this was just to cute to pass up. Here is Winnie and David playing.

For Karen

So Karen (my sister) wanted to see how funny Winnie looks when she runs. This is a little grainy, but at least you can see how funny she looks!

Winnie found her VOICE!!!

Yesterday we went to visit Jason and Liz and introduct their dog Baxter (see previous pictures) to Winnie. Well, well, little miss priss found her BARK!!

I don't think David believed me that she had ever barked until he heard it for himself last night.

It was sooooo funny to watch the dogs "play". At first Baxter didn't know what to do, he is so small, and doesn't really have any dog friends. Winnie was good and laid down so she was on his level. But he still wasn't sure about the big huge dog (ha ha on my part since she will be SOOOO much bigger soon.)

Anyway we took them outside and they finally started to play. Winnie was chassing him around the back yard, she was barely running and he was running at full speed!! It was so cute.

When he stopped playing with her, she went right up to him and barked! It shocked everyone, but it was great to hear her bark.

Now that she knows she can do it, she did it this morning again. She barked at a bowl! She found a bowl on the floor and accidentally flipped it over, then when she couldn't figure it out she barked a lot. Guess we might have created a monster!

Keep checking for updates.

Winnie has arrived!!

We got our little girl home finally. She has been worn out a bit today, probably from all the fun and the changes. She is great, and hasn't really barked yet, just moans a lot.

She slept almost the whole way home, which was surprising. Let's see how she sleeps tonight!

Here are some pictures on picasa. I'll post more as she grows, so every few days probably!

We can't wait for her to meet everyone :)

Spring Soccer!

We had a soccer game yesterday. David got to help coach his first game for Lauryn's team. He had a great time, the only bad part was the game was called on account of weather at half time. So they only played the first half of the game.

It was a tied game, 2 to 2. Lauryn had a great time and we even got to see the "Hoedown Throwdown" dance done by Emily on Lauryn's team. This is a dance from the new Hannah Montana movie/soundtrack. Take a look at the pictures.

If you can't see these let me know and I'll send you the picasa link.

These pictures were to cute to pass up! Before we left yesterday all of Winnie's brothers and sisters and cousins came outside to go potty, here is a little of what the mahiem looked like.

Winnie

We got to go meet our new little addition to the family yesterday. For those of you who haven't heard we are getting a puppy. Her name will be Lady Winston and we call her Winnie. She is a Great Dane, but is not huge yet at all. She was six weeks old yesterday and weighed 13 pounds while we were there visiting. I'll add more pictures as she grows, which I am sure will be quick!!

Back home!

OK my trip to California is almost over! I'm going back to Austin tomorrow. I've had a great time visiting my family and spending time with Karen. We've seen a movie (Bride Wars), done a lot of shopping, and spent time with family. It has been great to see the girls and Granny and Mama.

BTW the movie is cute and a total girly movie. I think all my girl friends should see it! Post soon, with new pics.

Baxter

Well if you remember from this summer, we have friends who own Baxter. Baxter is Lauryn's "god child" and she always gets to spend time with him when she is in town. So her last night here in Austin we "babysat" and had him over to spend the night. David and Lauryn love this dog!!! take a look

Bike Riding

Well, only in Texas can it get warm enough the week after Christmas to ride a bike!! Lauryn tried to ride her new bike from Santa but her helmet was to big, so she wore mine, but then her bike was still just a little to big. So we decided to try again at Spring Break. Here are a few pic's from our try in 08.
